Young & Restless’ Lucas Adams Breaks Down New Noah, Teases ‘Fun’ Storylines

A familiar face is joining Genoa City. Days of Our Lives alum Lucas Adams is officially joining The Young and the Restless as Noah Newman, making his debut on November 4.
For longtime soap fans, it’s a bit of a full-circle comeback since Adams actually appeared on the show briefly back in 2012.
This time, though, he’s joining the show as a key player in one of daytime TV’s most iconic families, bringing a more grown-up version of the Newman heir and hinting that some juicy, fun storylines are on the way.

Lucas Adams says Noah ‘has a great heart’ in The Young and the Restless

Lucas Adams may be a familiar name in the soap world, but joining The Young and the Restless as Noah Newman is a new era for him. In a conversation with TV Insider, Adams shared that his version of Noah will bring a more mature take to the table, someone who has learned from his past mistakes but still knows right from wrong.

“Noah is a good kid who got himself wrapped up in some rough people, and made some interesting choices throughout his life,” Adams explained. “He’s definitely a good kid and has a great heart, and I think he’s always trying to do the best for everyone around him.”

That caring side definitely runs in the Newman bloodline, something Lucas Adams says Noah shares with his loyal parents, Nick and Sharon (played by Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case). “His parents are very protective of their family, and I think he’s a very similar person,” he added.

He also admitted that picking up the role of Victor Newman’s grandson comes with some pressure. Adams’ mother, a lifelong Y&R fan, made sure he knew just how vital the Newman name is. “That’s a pretty big deal.’ I was like, ‘Yes, I’m kind of aware here.’ And she’s like, ‘OK, I’m just making sure that you get it.’ She was very stoked about it.”

Lucas Adams made his Y&R debut flat on his back, literally in a hospital bed, after Noah’s accident. He even joked that trying to act while wrapped in facial bandages was its own kind of challenge. Adams said it felt “like a fresh start” once the bandages came off and Noah’s face was finally revealed.

As for what’s next, Adams teased that The Young and the Restless has some fun storylines on the horizon. “It sounds kind of cliché, but honestly, I’m just really looking forward to my next chapter. “These storylines are already going in such a fun direction, and I’m stoked for the fans to see them,” Adam shared.
