Devon and Abby haven’t had much screen time lately. Aside from their trip to Cane’s chateau in France and attending Danny and Christine’s wedding, the couple has mostly stayed off the canvas.
They’ve been quietly raising baby Dom and running their businesses while the show focuses on other characters. Many fans even joked that the only time Devon and Abby appears is during holidays or major events on the show.
In a recent TV Watercooler podcast, Bryton James said he’s excited as there is quite a bit of drama coming up for the couple. He hinted that Devon will soon discover someone in his immediate family is in danger and that this crisis will put Devon and Abby’s marriage to the test in brand-new ways.
He said, “Devon’s going to find someone in his immediate family in danger and that’s going to put Devon and Abby’s marriage to the test in new ways.” Since Devon and Abby have been steady and united for years even after the cheating scandal that brought them together.
This raises the big question: Who is the family member in danger? James didn’t name anyone, but there are a few likely choices. It could be Lily, especially if she gets caught up with Cane again, since Cane is still clashing with Abby’s father.
Or it could also be Nate, who is reconnecting with Victoria even though Victor still doesn’t trust him. All of these characters will meet at the ranch on Thanksgiving, which suggests the storyline could start very soon.
