Is Jada really dying and leaving The Chi in Season 7?
As it turns out from the previous three episodes, Jada may indeed be heading towards her exit. In the seventh episode of The Chi season 7, it was revealed that Jada’s cancer had returned. Moreover, unlike the time it happened in season 4, chemotherapy would not work. Jada also decides not to try to treat this aggressive version of her cancer.
Hence, it is clearly established that Jada is not getting any treatment, and her cancer is terminal, which means that it is only a matter of time before she dies on the show.
The 10th episode of The Chi season 7 also shed some light on this. In the 10th episode, Jada gives Emmett her engagement ring. She tells him that she hopes he can give Kiesha the ring someday and propose to her. Emett also proposes to Kiesha right after, even though she did not answer in the episode.
But the hurried way Emmett tried to propose seemingly hints that Jada does not have a lot of time left. Moreover, without treatment, it would be logically impossible for her character to survive.
