Days of Our Lives fans are buzzing after spotting what looked like Wes Ramsey in the show’s newest extended promo. The quick glimpse has many fans convinced that Owen Kent may finally be returning to the show after more than a decade.
Is Wes Ramsey coming back to Days of Our Lives as Owen?
Fans jumped into speculation after Dool released a promo on November 25. The video teased several big twists, but the moment that really grabbed attention came near the end. In the clip, Steve Johnson is walking through the park with Brady Black when he suddenly grabs a hooded man and demands, “Where is my daughter?”
Even though the man’s face appears for barely a second, many fans instantly recognized him as Wes Ramsey, the actor who played Owen Kent on Days of Our Lives back in 2009. Before he was written off the show, Owen had an interesting storyline.
He worked as a gardener for the Kiriakis family and got pulled into the feud between the Kiriakises and the DiMeras. Under EJ DiMera’s order, Owen kidnapped Stephanie and kept her tied up in a morgue, becoming obsessed with her.
After Brady Black, Melanie Jonas, and Philip Kiriakis rescued Stephanie, Owen was arrested, but he later escaped during a prison transfer and vanished. Since then, Days of Our Lives has never revealed what happened to him.
Following the recent promo and Owen’s last storyline with Steve’s daughter, fans think the promo might be teasing his long-awaited return. However, Days of Our Lives is keeping things quiet.
A show spokesperson refused to confirm whether Ramsey is back, saying only, “The fans will have to wait and see!” Wes Ramsey is well-known to soap fans. Before Dool, he played Sam Spencer on Guiding Light.
He also spent several years on General Hospital as Peter August until the character was killed in 2022. For now, fans will have to keep watching to see if the mystery man really is Owen and if Wes Ramsey is officially returning to Days of Our Lives.
