Ahead of hosting a new episode of Shout! TV’s Double Take, VisionQuest actor Todd Stashwick has shared some new details about the upcoming MCU show.
Stashwick has been cast as Paladin in VisionQuest, an upcoming Marvel Television series that comes from showrunner Terry Matalas. The show will see Paul Bettany reprise his role as Vision, while James Spader also returns as Ultron. Marvel Studios’ VisionQuest will premiere on Disney+ in 2026.
Meanwhile, Stashwick’s episode of Double Take will air on Shout! Movies and Scream Factory TV at 5 p.m. Pacific Time/8 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, October 24, 2025. It will also be available on VOD starting on October 27, 2025.
A description of the event reads, “Actor Todd Stashwick (Star Trek: Picard, 12 Monkeys) hosts a Halloween Double Take celebrating underrated horror. He roots for the villains of Tragedy Girls while exploring the link between comedy and horror, then dives into the chilling brilliance of The Exorcist III and its unforgettable performances.”
What did Todd Stashwick say about Paladin and VisionQuest?
When asked by ComingSoon what fans can expect from Paladin in VisionQuest, Stashwick said, “This version of Paladin will definitely have ridiculously green eyes.”
Stashwick also said of working with Matalas, who he previously collaborated with on projects like 12 Monkeys and Star Trek: Picard, “The great thing about working with Terry Matalas is that after, gosh, three plus projects together, we have a shorthand. We have similar sensibilities. He is able to efficiently communicate what he’s wanting and, simultaneously, very open to my interpretation and ideas that come up on set that may not actually have been on the page. It’s a very give-and-take relationship. He will often come to me and be like, ‘Uh, we need something here.’ So, I feel trusted. Because we share a sensibility, when I offer something up, it’s going to be in bailiwick — good word — of what he wants to make anyway.”
Given that Paladin has gone up against characters like Daredevil and Punisher in Marvel Comics, ComingSoon also asked if there are any MCU characters or actors he’d like to act with in the future, to which Stashwick said, “I will tell you after I’ve done it.”
