This 4-Season Action Series Featuring Alan Ritchson Is A Must-Watch For Reacher Fans Waiting For The Prime Video Show’s Return

Alan Ritchson has become a popular name for Batman in the new DC Universe, and the Reacher star has a perfect action series for fans waiting for him to return to his biggest role yet. Ritchson has had his fair share of successful roles over the years, including playing Aquaman in one of the best live-action DC TV shows ever, Smallville.

The actor also showed his comedic skills in Blue Mountain State, which is returning for a sequel series. However, Ritchson’s career undeniably skyrocketed when he was cast as Jack Reacher. Now, the Prime Video series is set to come back for season 4 next year. While fans wait for Reacher’s return, a forgotten Ritchson action series could help bridge that gap.

Before Reacher, Alan Ritchson Showed Off His Action Skills In DC’s Titans

Ritchson’s DC career started in the Superman prequel series Smallville. There, he was part of an early Justice League team in live-action. However, his longest role at DC came in Titans, where he portrayed Hank Hall, aka Hawk, in three seasons of the four-year DC series. Titans featured well-known DC heroes, such as Batman, Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, and more.

Ritchson’s Hawk is one of the members of the original Titans team. When Dick Grayson, aka Robin, puts the team back together, he has to learn how to be a superhero again, dealing with an older, broken body and a penchant for violence. Reacher fans might appreciate the violent action Ritchson is part of in Titans, as well as his nuanced role.

Titans Shares One Key Connection To The Reacher Star’s Biggest Fancasting

While Titans itself has no character similar to Jack Reacher, the DC series connects to the Prime Video show through the role the actor has been after this past couple of years. James Gunn has rebooted the DC Universe. As such, Ben Affleck is out as Batman, which means a new actor will be cast as the Dark Knight.

Several names have emerged as popular contenders for the next Batman, with Prime Video stars, like Countdown‘s Jensen Ackles and Reacher‘s Ritchson, revealing that they would love to be the DCU Batman. Jack Reacher and Batman have since been compared a lot, as the action series hero employs the same intimidation techniques and investigative skills Batman possesses.

Titans is a show that merges those two roles in a sense. The TV-MA series features bloody, violent action that should please Reacher fans. Adding to that, in the show, Ritchson is truly playing a gritty, street-level DC hero. As such, for those who have watched Reacher and want Alan Ritchson as Batman, Titans is the perfect series to watch.
