The premium shop in Disney Dreamlight Valley is often a sensitive topic among players, as some don’t hesitate to grab anything offered by the shop, while others find the prices to be a bit much, considering they’ve already paid for the game itself. Additionally, since the Premium Shop rotates each week, it can all add up rather quickly if you’re not careful.
That being said, whether you clear out the shop or not every chance you get, there are some items you simply don’t want to miss, and this week that includes the Balloon Release Tree. One player, goofball68, even took to Reddit to make an official PSA encouraging players to give this whimsical decoration a second look if they originally passed on it.
The Balloon Release Tree may not look like much, considering the access to free foliage you already have in-game, but if you’re like me, then you may have overlooked how much this small item can add to things like Dreamsnaps and the overall decor of your valley.
Why You Need The Balloon Release Tree In DDV
Add Some Whimsy To Your Valley By Filling The Skies With Balloons
Priced at 1,200 Moonstones, which is about the same amount offered in the Small Moonstone Pack, the Balloon Release Tree is one of the brand-new featured items in Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Premium Shop this week. As you may already know, the Premium Shop resets each week on Wednesday, meaning that in just under 48 hours, this item will be gone.

“I Pay For Quality”: Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans Have A Bone To Pick With Latest DLC Update
While Disney Dreamlight Valley’s finale to Storybook Vale has its charms, some of the community has been left disappointed by its shortcomings.
Dubbed an item “people will regret passing on” by another player on Reddit, _the_indifferent_, the Balloon Release Tree offers something not many items in the game do: decorations for the sky. Once placed, it will continuously release balloons, and while one tree may not do much, if you decorate a small area with them, you can create a space that’s filled with whimsical balloons constantly flying up into the sky, making it unlike any other part of your valley.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Premium Items Can Be Expensive, But Often Worth It
There Are Plenty Of Ways To Earn Moonstones For Free
I know it’s easy for me to sit here and tell you that you should buy this item when it’s not my money to spend, but it doesn’t have to be yours either. Yes, purchasing moonstones is the easiest way to guarantee you have something before it’s gone, but there are several steps you can take to earn them without ever spending money.
So, if you do have Moonstones but are hesitant to spend 1,200 of them on a small decorative item or simply want to pin the item to your shop for purchasing later, here are some of the ways you can replenish your Moonstone supply for free:
- Finding Blue Chests in the Valley
- DDV‘s Star Path Rewards , Including The Bonus, Which Can Return Up To 10K Moonstones If Maxed Out
- Dreamsnaps Participation & Voting
If done regularly, these methods could mean you never even need to purchase Moonstones again. Plus, there’s a bit of a return on investment as anything you purchase can then be used in Dreamsnaps, which might cause you to rank higher and thus reward even more Moonstones that you can turn around and spend on something new.
