Netflix has shared a behind-the-scenes look at how WednesdaySeason 2 brought Christopher Lloyd back to The Addams Family world in a wild new way.
Lloyd plays Professor Orloff, a Nevermore teacher who exists as nothing more than a head in a jar, and ScanlineVFX revealed how they pulled off the effect. Using volumetric performance capture technology, a 3D camera rig, and a massive wraparound screen, the team allowed Lloyd to act alongside the rest of the cast while his performance was seamlessly transformed into Orloff’s eerie floating head.
It’s a clever mix of practical setup and cutting-edge visual effects that makes this quirky addition to the series feel both surreal and grounded.
