Superman Fans Think He’ll Cameo in Peacemaker Season 2 After New Photo

A recent photo posted by Peacemaker star Danielle Brooks sparked rumors that Superman might make a cameo in Season 2 of the series. Peacemaker Season 2 will premiere on August 21 on HBO Max and will consist of a total of 8 episodes. The show features John Cena in the titular role, alongside Jennifer Holland, Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Frank Grillo, and many more.

Could David Corenswet’s Superman cameo in Peacemaker Season 2?

Recently, Danielle Brooks, who plays the role of Leota Adebayo in Peacemaker, posted a photo with David Corenswet on her Instagram story, fueling rumors that Superman might appear in the show. However, these are just fan assumptions.

In the image shared by the Hollywood Handle on X (formerly Twitter), Brooks wrote, “So proud of you,” and mentioned Corenswet. In addition, Corenswet could be seen wearing his Superman suit with VFX tracking markers on his face.

Although nothing has been confirmed about Superman’s next appearance by James Gunn yet. During an appearance on the Phase Hero podcast recently, Gunn stated that fans wouldn’t have to wait longer to see Superman after the 2025 movie.

He conveyed, “A couple of years. Well, no, you might see him… You’ll see him before then. Yeah, you’ll see the character before then.” However, whether that project will be Peacemaker Season 2 is not yet confirmed. John Cena’s Peacemaker also made a cameo appearance in the Superman movie.

Previously, Corenswet has also expressed his desire to see Superman in an R-rated DCU project. Peacemaker is also an R-rated show, which created more excitement among fans. However, Corenswet, at that time, mentioned that the project could be like Lanterns, which is a show currently under development. He stated that it would feel good to see Superman “in a detective, you know, in a thing like Lanterns, where it’s a True Detective feel.” He further shared, “I just think it can happen in spite of how bright and playful this version of the character is.”
