The wrap present given to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ cast looks like it has a hint of season 4. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is nearing the end of the series finale’s filming, concluding the hit Paramount+ series’ fifth and final season.
Paramount+ renewed Star Trek: Strange New Worlds for a 6-episode season 5, which will end the show. Production began in the fall of 2025 and filming will wrap before the Christmas holidays. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds seasons 4 and 5 are expected to premiere in 2026 and 2027 on Paramount+.
On Instagram, Anson Mount recently shared an album of behind-the-scenes photos that Jess Bush gave to her co-stars to commemorate their five seasons together on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Most of the pics Anson posted are from the first three seasons, but one particular photo stands out because it looks like it’s from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 (or 5). Check out the pic below:
The smiling faces of Martin Quinn, Jess Bush, Celia Rose Gooding, Babs Olusanmokun, Melissa Navia, Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Christina Chong, and her dog, Runa Ewok, are heartwarming. However, Ethan Peck’s unusual look raises an eyebrow and hints that this is a BTS photo from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 or 5.
Peck is costumed as Lieutenant Spock, but this isn’t a look the Vulcan Science Officer wore in the first three seasons of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. With his long disheveled hair and scruffy beard, this is a version of Spock that fans have yet to see. Captain Pike is also wearing black tactical gear, like Spock, hinting that they go on a landing party mission.
Celia Rose Gooding’s hairstyle as Ensign Nyota Uhura also indicates that this photo is from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 or 5. Uhura grew out her hair in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3, but Nyota’s lighter colored ‘do is also new. Meanwhile, it’s possible Ethan Peck isn’t playing Spock at all. Could he be playing Spock’s criminal older brother, Sybok?
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 will reportedly continue the “big swings” of season 3, including an episode of puppets created by the Jim Henson Company. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds seasons 4 and 5 are, understandably, being kept top secret, but this photo is a fascinating hint of something still to come.
