Paramount+’s hit supernatural drama School Spirits has added a ’90s horror icon for its season 3 return. Led by Cobra Kai alumna Peyton List, this year’s season 2 had already added two new fan-favorite specters to the School Spirits cast list in the form of Miles Elliot’s Yuri and Ci Hang Ma’s Quinn.
Per Deadline, the School Spirits season 3 cast is set to expand again with the addition of Child’s Play franchise veteran Jennifer Tilly in a recurring role as Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price, as production has officially begun in Vancouver.
Additionally, Ari Dalbert (Friendship) and Erika Swayze (Davey & Jonesie’s Locker) will also appear as Kyle and Livia. Meanwhile, Ma and Elliot have also been promoted to series regulars.
What These New Cast Additions Mean For School Spirits Season 3
Jennifer Tilly’s Horror Experience May Point To A New Villain
While the School Spirits season 2 finale revealed that List’s Maddie succeeded in returning to her body, the season’s final moments suggested that Simon (Kristian Ventura) now finds himself trapped within the afterlife. With the tables turned, Maddie will probably need all the help she can get in freeing her best friend from the same fate she just escaped from.

School Spirits star Milo Manheim has a new movie that is perfect to tide over fans waiting to find out the fate of his character Wally in season 3.
Yet whether these new cast additions will be either friends or foes remains to be seen. However, given Tilly’s proven track record in villainous roles, many fans would likely be expecting to see her new School Spirits character become the show’s new antagonist following the season 2 defeat of Josh Zuckerman’s Mr. Martin.
As for Dalbert’s and Swayze’s characters, previous seasons have already shown that Split River High is still filled with the departed spirits of other former pupils beyond Maddie’s group of ghostly allies. As such, it is possible that Kyle and Livia may also be among the school’s already lively collection of the restless dead.
