It wouldn’t be a Marvel movie if Tom Holland didn’t reveal something he wasn’t supposed to. The actor — lovingly referred to by fans as “Professional MCU Leaker” — may have once again spilled a subtle spoiler, this time via his wardrobe. A new behind-the-scenes image from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day shows Holland in costume wearing a shirt for Delmar’s Deli, the Queens sandwich shop that’s become something of a running gag since Spider-Man: Homecoming. While the image doesn’t confirm any plot details, fans are already speculating that this could hint at Peter Parker’s new day job — especially after the gut-wrenching finale of No Way Home, which left Peter broke, alone, and entirely forgotten by the people he loves, including MJ (played once again by Zendaya).

With Peter stripped of all his Stark tech and resources — and now living in a modest New York apartment — taking on a blue-collar job feels true to the character’s roots, and surely it’s got to be easier than working for the Daily Bugle. Then again,others are speculating this could be part of a dual-income lifestyle: Peter submitting photos to The Daily Bugle while working a deli gig to make ends meet. “Welcome to the realm of being a post-Boomer,” one commenter joked. “You need multiple okay-paying careers at once to survive.”

Everyone Loves Delmar’s Deli

Of course, the return of Delmar’s Deli isn’t just practical — it’s emotional too, since the shop was blown up in Homecoming during the Vulture’s arms deal gone wrong, and Mr. Delmar himself has become a low-key fan favorite. So who’s running the deli now? A few theories point to The Bear’sLiza Colón-Zayas playing a new owner or manager — or even Mr. Delmar’s daughter.

While Marvel has yet to release an official synopsis, Brand New Day is expected to pick up with Peter Parker navigating a world that has forgotten him entirely. The film is shooting primarily in the UK and parts of Europe with major stage work happening at Pinewood Studios just outside London, while right now, action scenes are being shot in Glasgow, Scotland.

Zendaya is confirmed to return as MJ, and although the character no longer remembers Peter, their paths will reportedly cross again — setting up what fans hope is a slow-burn emotional arc. The film is set to feature the introduction of Hell’s Kitchen and a deeper street-level tone.
