Peacock has already ordered a second season of an upcoming anthology series that’s yet to premiere, setting the stage for new stories.
What Peacock show has been renewed for a second season?
According to a new report from Variety, Peacock is already working on a second season of its Devil in Disguise series, a crime drama anthology series from executive producer Patrick Macmanus who’s first season follows the story of John Wayne Gacy.
Variety’s report notes that, ahead of the show’s debut on October 16, 2025, Peacock is working with Macmanus on a second season, which would focus on the “Night Stalker,” also known as Richard Ramirez. Ramirez was active between 1984 and 1985 in Los Angeles and Southern California, and was captured in August 1985. Ramirez died in 2013, while serving his prison sentence on death row.
Should the second season come to fruition, Macmanus would serve as showrunner for the second season. Little else is known about the project as of now, however. Macmanus also acted as showrunner on the upcoming Devil in Disguise series, which stars Michael Chernus, Gabriel Luna, james Badge Dale, Michael Angarano, Chris Sullivan, and Marin Ireland.
