As the Straw Hat Pirates prepare to embark on their journey towards the Grand Line, Netflix has released a glimpse of the live-action version of the Giants of Little Garden, who are set to appear in One Piece Season 2. Werner Coetser and Brendan Murray are set to play Dorry and Brogy, the two giants who constantly duel on the island, and it’s only a matter of time before fans see how Netflix adapts these two iconic characters.
Over on Netflix’s One Piece‘s official social media page, a poster featuring the two giants looking down at the Straw Hats was shared, along with a small photo of the two brothers facing each other. Little Garden is one of the locations that will be featured in the upcoming Season, alongside Loguetown, Whiskey Peak, Reverse Mountain, and Drum Island. Since Netflix has already released the episode names for Season 2, the giant’s debut will likely be in Episode 4, titled “Big Trouble in Little Garden.”
Aside from the giants, One Piece Season 2 released a teaser two months ago, showcasing what’s to come in the next live-action installment. Not only will there be giants, but also new creatures, and new characters that Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his allies will meet as they continue to find the One Piece and fulfill their dreams.
What’s Netflix’s ‘One Piece’ About?
The live-action adaptation of One Piece is based on the 1997 manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda, where it follows Monkey D. Luffy, who dreams of becoming King of the Pirates. Season 1 introduced Luffy and his crew: Nami (Emily Rudd), Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar), as they set themselves up to become proper pirates and embark on a dangerous journey towards the Grand Line, while facing Marines and other pirate crews. Season 1 found massive success upon release, generating a Certified Critics’ score of 86% and an average audience score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as receiving a nomination for “Outstanding Young Teen Series” at the 2025 Children’s and Family Emmy Awards.
Netflix announced it greenlit Season 2 back in September 2023, a few weeks after the Season 1 finale was released. Since then, not only has it teased new locations, but also new characters, including the introduction of Tony Tony Chopper, voiced by Mikaela Hoover, as well as other characters like Smoker (Callum Kerr), Miss Wednesday (Charithra Chandran), and Mr. 0 (Joe Manganiello), to name a few. Additionally, Netflix announced that the show will return for a third season, although the release date has yet to be announced.
One Piece Season 2 is scheduled to come out in 2026. In the meantime, all Season 1 episodes are available on Netflix. Follow Collider to stay up to date with the latest updates.
