New MCU Villain Has No Scenes With Daredevil in Born Again Season 2

Daredevil won’t share any scenes with a new MCU character in Born Again Season 2.

Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premieres on Disney+ next spring. A continuation of the Netflix series, the show sees Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprise their respective roles as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.

Who doesn’t Daredevil share any scenes with in Born Again Season 2?

Matthew Lillard, known for starring in the Scream and Five Nights at Freddy’s franchises, is playing a villain named Mr. Charles in Born Again Season 2.

Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum previously said the character is “a bit of a new antagonist on the field,” via Entertainment Weekly, and explained, “The story is about power. When Wilson Fisk takes over New York, not just as a mayor but as a king in a way, it puts him in a new class of power players on the international stage. Matthew Lillard’s character represents that.”

While MCU fans wait to learn more about Mr. Charles, they shouldn’t expect to see him in any scenes with Cox. Entertainment Weekly has now revealed that the two characters won’t share any scenes together in Born Again Season 2.

In addition to Lillard, Cox, and D’Onofrio, the cast of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 includes Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter/Bullseye, Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera, Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman, Clark Johnson as Cherry, Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blake, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, and Lili Taylor as Marge McCaffrey.

Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premieres on Disney+ in March 2026, though an exact release date has not yet been set. The first season, along with the three seasons of the Netflix series, are currently available to watch on the streaming service.
