IDFA 2025: First competition titles unveiled


 

Over 100 films are now in the IDFA 2025 selection, including titles in Short Competition, Signed, Best of Fests, Current Future, and Paradocs. We also reveal the winners of the Film Fund DocLab Interactive Grant.

Film Fund DocLab Interactive Grant winners announced

IDFA DocLab and the Netherlands Film Fund present the winners of the Film Fund DocLab Interactive Grant.

From a fulldome psychotropic trip to hand-written letters on digital lives; all four winning projects will world premiere at IDFA DocLab 2025.

The IDFA Bertha Fund announces ten bold new documentary projects selected for the IBF Classic fall selection, receiving a total of €162,500 in development and (post-)production support.

Palestine Film Fund opens first call

The Palestine Film Fund (PFF) is now accepting its first round of entries. Open to Palestinian filmmakers worldwide, the grants support projects across all stages of filmmaking.

The fund was co-founded by the Palestine Film Institute with the IDFA Bertha Fund, the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, and International Media Support.

Accreditations for IDFA 2025 are available at a regular fee until 31 October.

IDFA aims to offer independent filmmakers, artists, and audiences a safe space where everyone feels welcome and respected and can express themselves freely even when perspectives differ. Read more about IDFA’s principles and guidelines here.
