Returning to Cannes for his fourth film in competition and his 13th film, Wes Anderson and his star-studded cast will arrive on the red carpet tonight for the premiere of The Phoenician Scheme. The story follows Wealthy businessman Zsa-zsa Korda (Benicio Del Toro), who appoints his only daughter (Mia Threapleton), a nun, as sole heir to his estate. As Korda embarks on a new enterprise, they soon become the target of scheming tycoons, foreign terrorists, and determined assassins. Wes Anderson has become a staple of Cannes in recent years and was last in attendance in 2023 for Asteroid City. Anderson always brings a big buzz with his eccentric style and captivating stories that always seem to leave audiences wondering, "What crazy story will he tell next?". The Phoenician Scheme is already known to be one of the biggest movies premiering here at Cannes this season, and it's an easy choice for tonight's Hot Ticket premiere.
