HBO’s It prequel, Welcome to Derry, will feature Derry residents from the IT book, including one character from another bestselling Stephen King novel.
The character Dick Halloran from The Shining is a minor character in an IT interlude, working as a cook at The Black Spot. Fans have been wondering whether he would appear in the show since each season is exploring one of the interludes. At San Diego Comic-Con’s It: Welcome to Derry panel, where Screen Rant was present, the Muschiettis confirmed that Halloran would be a character in the first season, played by Chris Chalk.
