Hazbin Hotel seasons 1 and 2’s original songs are so catchy that you’ll find yourself wanting to listen to them on repeat. Though parents should be cautious about showing Hazbin Hotel to their children, it’s the perfect show for adults with a crude, profane sense of humor. Luckily, it’s easily accessible for Prime members.

The A+ musical comedy, created by Vivienne Medrano (known on YouTube as Vivziepop), is especially memorable for its unique animation style, distinctive characters, and undeniably fantastic soundtrack. The latter is thanks to two individuals.

Composers/lyricists Andrew Underberg and Sam Haft teamed up to create the songs for season 1, and it went over so well that they came back for season 2. The soundtracks for Hazbin Hotel seasons 1 and 2 feature clever lyrics that help move the character arcs and plot forward, as well as melodies that will get stuck in viewers’ heads.

Every Song In Hazbin Hotel Season 1

The first season of Hazbin Hotel follows the story of Charlie Morningstar, the daughter of Lucifer, who dreams of creating a hotel to help redeem sinners with the help of her girlfriend and staff. Her long-term goal is also to stop the exterminations that happen yearly, where heaven’s angel army comes down to slaughter the sinners.

Charlie, the residents of Hell, and the angels all sing their way through the show. Some of the best musical moments include Lucifer and Alastor in a singing duel and Angel Dust coping with being a sex slave. However, the most notable addition is the song “Loser, Baby,” which has become an anthem of sorts for fans.

Season 1, Episode 1, “Overture”

• “Happy Day in Hell” sung by Charlie Morningstar, featuring citizens of Hell: Charlie sings “Happy Day in Hell” after she gets the phone call from her dad asking her to meet with the head of the Angel army. While sharing her excitement and optimism, she shows the audience around the different parts of Hell.

• “Hell Is Forever” sung by Adam, featuring Charlie Morningstar: After Charlie tries to pitch the idea of her hotel to Adam, he cuts her off and starts singing about how all sinners deserve to be tortured in hell forever. The song ends when Adam announces that he’s moving the date of the exterminations.

Season 1, Episode 2, “Radio Killed the Video Star

• “Stayed Gone” sung by Vox and Alastor: When Vox learns that Alastor is back, he starts singing that Alastor should have stayed gone after going missing for seven years. However, Alastor takes over the airwaves to announce that he’s back, showing how menacing he can be.

• “It Starts With Sorry” sung by Charlie Morningstar and Sir Pentious: After they discover Sir Pentious is lying to them, Charlie sings “It Starts With Sorry” to teach Sir Pentious how to get the forgiveness of the other guests. By the end of the song, he commits fully to the idea of becoming better and getting redeemed..

Season 1, Episode 3, “Scrambled Eggs”

• Respectless” sung by Carmilla Carmine and Velvette: During the meeting of the overlords, Velvette tries to convince them that they have to fight the angels, now that they know angels can die. However, Carmilla pushes back, singing about how Velvette and the other Vees are too reckless about the idea of fighting heaven.

• “Whatever It Takes,” sung by Carmilla Carmine and Vaggie, featuring Zestial: Once the Vees leave, Zestial asks why Carmilla wouldn’t tell anyone she killed the angel, and she sings that she only killed the angel because she would do “whatever it takes” to protect her daughters. This is intercut with Vaggie singing about how she will do anything to make Charlie’s dreams come true.

Season 1, Episode 4, “Masquerade”

• “Poison” sung by Angel Dust: After Charlie ruins the set of Angel Dust’s porno, he kicks her out so that he can finish his work. He then sings “Poison” about Valentino’s control over him. The episode also includes very sensitive visuals of Angel being sexually assaulted.

• “Loser, Baby” sung by Husk and Angel Dust: After Husk pulls Angel Dust out of the club, Husk sings to Angel about how he’s a loser, but assuring him that there’s nothing wrong with that. Husk also declares himself a loser. This episode, ultimately, provides the best songs in Hazbin Hotel season 1 .

Season 1, Episode 5, “Dad Beat Dad”

• “Hell’s Greatest Dad” sung by Lucifer Morningstar and Alastor: When Lucifer finally arrives at the Hazbin Hotel , he’s threatened by Alastor. This leads to the song “Hell’s Greatest Dad” where the two compete back and forth for Charlie’s attention, love, and trust.

• “More than Anything” sung by Lucifer and Charlie Morningstar: Lucifer and Charlie bond through the song “More Than Anything,” during which Charlie learns that the only reason Lucifer doesn’t want to help her is that he is trying to protect her from Heaven’s rejection. In reverse, Lucifer learns that Charlie always looked up to him and wanted to be like him.

Season 1, Episode 6, “Welcome to Heaven”

• “Welcome to Heaven” sung by St. Peter, Emily, and Sera: The most obnoxiously peppy song in Hazbin Hotel season 1 is “Welcome to Heaven,” which is pretty fitting considering. St. Peter, Emily, and Sera sing it to Charlie and Vaggie when they arrive. During the song, they show them around, pointing out all the best features of the place.

• “You Didn’t Know” sung by Emily, Charlie Morningstar, and Adam, featuring Vaggie, Sera, and Lute: Emily pushes back against Sera in song, pointing out that Heaven is a lie if the angels don’t follow their own morals. Partway through, Lute and Adam interrupt, and Adam accidentally reveals the extermination. At this point, Emily and Charlie team up to sing about how corrupt Heaven is. It only ends when Adam reveals the truth about Vaggie’s backstory.

Season 1, Episode 7, “Hello Rosie”

• “Out for Love” sung by Carmilla Carmine: When Vaggie goes to Carmilla for help fighting against the angels, Carmilla sings about how Vaggie has the wrong intentions. She thinks Vaggie won’t succeed when driven by revenge, encouraging her to fight from a place of love instead.

• “Ready for This” sung by Charlie Morningstar, Rosie, Alastor, and the citizens of Cannibal Town: When Charlie tries to rally the Cannibal Town citizens to join her fight, she breaks out in song to inspire them. She assumes her position as the leader of the movement, and she persuades everyone to come fight with her against the angels.

Season 1, Episode 8, “The Show Must Go On”

• More Than Anything (Reprise) sung by Vaggie and Charlie Morningstar: When Charlie gets nervous about the upcoming extermination and the battle, Vaggie comforts her in song. The “More Than Anything” reprise is one of the sweetest Vaggie and Charlie moments in Hazbin Hotel , showcasing their love for each other.

• “The Show Must Go On (Finale)” by Hazbin Hotel Ensemble: The final song of Hazbin Hotel season 1 starts somber because of Sir Pentious’ death and the destruction of the hotel. However, everyone comes together, encouraging Charlie that they can rebuild the hotel and make it even better than before.

Every Song In Hazbin Hotel Season 2

Hazbin Hotel season 2 picks up a little while after the first season ends, with everyone in Hell wondering what’s next for Charlie and the hotel. However, Charlie is mourning the loss of Sir Pentious, not knowing that he was redeemed at the end of season 1.

As teased ahead of Hazbin Hotel season 2, Vox plays a much bigger role, with him and the other Vees trying to smear Charlie’s name and grab for power.

Season 2, Episode 1, “New Pentious”

• “Hazbin Guarantee (Trust Us)” sung by Charlie Morningstar, Vox, Valentino, and Velvette, featuring Vaggie and the rest of the Hazbin Hotel staff: Charlie and Vaggie sing this song to welcome Baxter to the hotel after he confirms that he’s checking in to the Hazbin Hotel. She shows him around and introduces him to the other guests. Meanwhile, Vox and the Vees are trying to lure away recruits who think that the idea of redemption sounds boring.

• “Once We Get Up There” sung by Vox, Velvette, and Valentino: Vox starts singing this song after doing his presentation on their plan to slander Charlie and create an army of demons to take over Heaven. He starts out singing about how good it will be to be in charge of both Heaven and Hell, coaxing Velvette and Valentino to go along with his plan. Then, they join in on the idea and sing all together about everything they can do when they get up to Heaven.

Season 2, Episode 2, “Storyteller”

• “Like You” sung by Emily, featuring St. Peter, Abel, and Sir Pentious: After Sir Pentious learns that he can’t see his friends anymore, he becomes distraught about being alone again. To cheer him up and convince him that Heaven will be great, Emily sings “Like You,” showing him around. Unfortunately, everything she says to make him feel special is a reminder that he is alone. This is the first time Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump sings in Hazbin Hotel season 2.

• “Sera’s Confession” sung by Sera and The Speaker of God: Sera goes to confess her sins to the Speaker of God, and she starts singing through her distress and guilt about allowing the exterminations. The Speaker refuses to exonerate her of the guilt and advises her to use what she’s learned to make better decisions.

• “Gravity” sung by Lute, featuring Adam: Lute sings this song after going into Adam’s home and yelling at his son to get out. Her hallucination of Adam goads her on, furthering her idea of getting vengeance on all of Hell.
