While celebrities like Hailee Steinfeld often dress up elaborately for Halloween, the Hawkeye actress made things interesting by dressing up as Mary from Sinners. Specifically, she put together the look that Mary had at the end of the Ryan Coogler film, when she went to meet an elderly Sammie.
She even put on vampire teeth and posted a close-up of the same on her Instagram post. “Happy Halloween ??♀️,” she captioned the post, with the vampire emoji pointing at Sinners. Many fans were excited about this and made it clear in the comment sections.
“I’m going to watch Sinners again today ❤️?,” one fan wrote. “YOU WON HALLOWEEN,” another fan wrote, while another wrote, “my favorite vampire ?.” Another user joked, “Best cosplay I’ve ever seen. Looks just like her.”
Sinners was one of the biggest movies of 2025, and perhaps the most successful in the genre. Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, the film followed twin brothers, Elijah “Smoke” and Elias “Stack” Moore, played by Michael B. Jordan, as they tried to start something new after leaving behind a twisted criminal life.
Hailee Steinfeld took on the role of Mary, Stack’s ex-girlfriend. The character ended up being among the only survivors in the film. In fact, Mary and Stack end up becoming an immortal vampire couple who have adapted to a modern lifestyle and have made peace with immortality.
Made on a budget of around $90 million, the film ended up earning $367 million, making it a huge success. Moreover, it also saw great success in streaming. There have been talks of a sequel, but no solid confirmation.
