Viewers are upset with his disappointing and hypocritical behavior of ignoring a dire situation to fixate on his ex‑fiancée so much that fans have taken to social media to express their annoyance with Chase’s latest shenanigans.
General Hospital fans think Chase protecting Willow ‘is just crazy’
With his latest lapses in prioritizing and decision-making, Harrison Chase surely isn’t the audience’s favorite. Chase jumping to Willow’s rescue after she is accused of shooting Drew Cain has rubbed people the wrong way. Fans think his renewed obsession with his ex immensely disrespects his wife, Brook Lynn. The reactions poured in after Chase basically threw himself into Willow’s case despite being married.
Long-time fans didn’t refrain from pointing out Chase’s character degradation from a respectful detective to a hypocritical pushover. Chase’s evident interest in Willow despite her cheating on him while he was paralyzed cost him some major fan points.
Moreover, Chase jeopardizes his career while going to extreme lengths to prove Willow’s innocence, which isn’t doing much in his favor. His bias towards his ex-fiancée might also compromise the sanctity of the investigation. Chase’s obsessive involvement hasn’t gone unnoticed by superior Anna Devane.
