Cassandra Creech‘s Dr. Grace Buckingham has finally confessed the truth about Liam’s diagnosis to Finn in The Bold and the Beautiful.
She revealed that she had fabricated the story about Liam’s inoperable tumor in a desperate attempt to get money from Bill to repay the massive debts of her ex-husband, Reese. With loan sharks threatening her daughters’ lives, she had no option but to play along the Liam’s fake cancer story. Now that she is expected to face Liam, here’s what Creech thinks about how the latter may react to the truth.
Cassandra Creech says Liam will have ‘volcanic’ reaction to Grace’s confession on The Bold and the Beautiful
In a recent conversation, Creech reveals that Grace does feel “guilty” about the emotional turmoil she had caused Liam and his family. While she knows there will be consequences for her actions, Creech believes the hardest part for Grace is having to confess the truth to both Liam and Hope.
Creech said, “She feels incredibly guilty about what she’s done on so many levels. She hates what she put Liam and his loved ones through, and hoped it might never come to light. But Finn managed to piece things together. Now, she has to face not only the consequences of her actions but the most difficult part of all, which is telling Liam and Hope.” (via Soap She Knows)
She mentions that Grace had no choice and her daughters’ lives were threatened by loan sharks, which led her to take such a horrifying step. Taking advantage of the situation created by Bill, who released Luna, she managed to get a huge sum of money for him, which eventually saved her and her daughters.
Despite Grace’s lie, Creech doesn’t see her as a villain. She believes it was the desperate circumstances that drove her to make such a choice. Her character will nevertheless earn the money and repay it to Bill. Addressing how Grace will confront Liam, she said, “This is her truth-telling moment. This is when she is at her most vulnerable, and it becomes almost overwhelming. I have no words for what it was like to tape. It was volcanic. It was humbling for Grace and brutal.”
