Beau Bridges Is Everyone’s Dad in a Trailer for the Romance Film ‘Blue Eyed Girl’ [EXCLUSIVE]

If you’re looking for a sweet romance story, Blue Eyed Girl may be the film for you! Have you ever thought about what your life could have been like if you had stayed with your first love? Or have you gone back home after being away and reverted to your high school self? Then Blue Eyed Girl will definitely have something for you to relate to! Collider is excited to share an exclusive look at the trailer for the new film starring Beau Bridges, Marisa Coughlan, Eliza Coupe, Freddy Rodriguez, Sam Trammell, and more! Yes, Sam from True Blood as a romantic lead!

The film tells the story of Jane (Coughlan) going home to visit her father (Bridges) when he’s in the hospital. But as she is visiting her family, she reconnects with her high school love (Trammell) and has to decide if she is truly happy in her marriage or if she missed out on a life with the man who truly made her happy. The film is written and produced by Coughlan and seems like a beautiful exploration of love, grief, and that part of our brains that is always going to wonder if we chose the right person. And how cool it’d be if Bridges were our dad.

Blue Eyed Girl is described as follows:

“When Jane Messina returns home to visit her two sisters and her ailing father, she’s forced to re-evaluate her life, and to wonder what could have been. Blue Eyed Girl is a coming-of-age story at forty-something, not fifteen. It’s about midlife and marriage, chasing dreams, letting go of regrets, and most of all, reconciling who you are with who you thought you might be.”

A Heartwarming Romance Film Is Perfect for the Winter

Part of what makes the trailer for Blue Eyed Girl so sweet is that we can all relate to it in some way. The “what if” situations we make up in our heads can often be the worst, but in Jane’s case, she’s confronted with them head-on and has to figure out if it is worth blowing up her entire life for a man who says he still loves her or staying in a marriage that doesn’t make her happy. The concept itself is relatable to many, and that’s what makes the trailer so fascinating. Plus, with plenty of laughs from Happy Endingsstar Coupe, the film is sure to be a gift to us all.

See Blue Eyed Girl when it arrives on November 21.
