‘American Pickers’ Star Mike Wolfe Slammed for Dangerous Motorcycle Speed in Shocking Video


American Pickersstar Mike Wolfecame under fire during a recent motorcycle trip he took with his girlfriend, Leticia Cline. After the antique hunter shared his location on social media, fans quickly pointed out his excessive speed. Commenters called Wolfe out for reckless driving and voiced concern for both his and Cline’s safety.

The video, posted to Wolfe’s Instagram on June 12, featured the picker singing along to “Sixteen Tons” by Tennessee Ernie Ford before showing off the scenic route where he and Cline were riding. In the caption, Wolfe explained how their eight-hour ride ended up taking 14 hours due to backroads and rain. The caption revealed that the reality couple were making the trip to attend the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival. Wolfe expressed that the long journey was worth it because he didn’t want to miss the festival.

While some fans shared his excitement, many were shocked at the shot of his speedometer reaching 107 miles per hour. “Don’t go so fast,” one fan commented, while another reprimanded Wolfe for acting like a teenager. Out of their concern for theAmerican Pickers star, fans urged him to ride safely and be mindful of his speed, especially in rainy conditions.

‘American Pickers’ Season 27 Set To Feature Rhode Island’s Most Famous Collector

An upcoming episode of American Pickers Season 27 will follow Wolfe and Jon “Jersey Jon” Szalayheading to Rhode Island to meet Dick Shappy, a master restorer and longtime collector. The episode, titled “The Road to Relics,” promises a deep dive into Shappy’s one-of-a-kind collection of vintage cars and motorcycles.

Wolfe and Jersey Jon are visibly starstruck by Shappy’s collection, which includes rare vehicles dating back to 1972. Some of the items set to be featured on the show include a rare Duesenberg automobile, along with Cadillac V16s and a Flying Merkel that Wolfe immediately has his eyes on. Viewers will also get to see Shappy’s unique 1917 Curtiss OXX6 race car that’s fitted with an airplane engine. The collector’s business, called Dick Shappy Vintage Auto Sales, has many of his vehicles up for sale on the website.

According to the History Channel’s episode preview, however, Wolfe will end up bidding for what is described as the “Holy grail of vintage motorbikes.” Whether Shappy agrees to the deal or not remains to be seen when the episode airs. The news comes shortly after American Pickers experienced its biggest dip in viewership after the Season 27 premiere on July 2, 2025. The episode garnered only 390,000 viewers, which is a major drop from the Season 26 finale, which ended on a high note with 708,000 viewers tuning in.

American Pickers Season 27 is currently airing every Wednesday on the History Channel.
