Pokémon Legends: Z-A is still available for preorder ahead of its October 16 release, and several retailers have revealed a variety of bonuses you can earn by buying the game early. All Physical Preorder Bonuses For Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Walmart
All Pokémon Legends Z-A physical edition preorders made through Walmart will come with an exclusive Partner Pokémon pin depicting either Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile. The pins will be selected at random, so there’s no guaranteeing you’ll get your favorite starter. This bonus appears to be exclusive to online orders; in-store purchases won’t count.
Best Buy
If you preorder a physical copy through Best Buy instead, you’ll receive a Pokémon Legends Z-A playmat intended for use with the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Depicting a map of Lumiose City, alongside an assortment of Pokémon, this playmat is also an online exclusive.
GameStop
Players who preorder Pokémon Legends: Z-A from GameStop will be eligible to receive a free Legends Z-A tote bag. However, you’ll have to attend a midnight launch event to get your hands on one; check with your local brick-and-mortar GameStop branch for details.
Pokémon Center
Finally, if you preorder a physical copy of Legends Z-A directly through the Pokémon Center, you’ll get what appears to be a different kind of Partner Pokémon pin, complete with a metallic finish and a Pokéball displaying the randomly selected Pokémon’s number.
This replaces an earlier promotion that earned players buying directly from the Pokémon Center a random Sitting Cutie plush — also either Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile. If you preordered prior to the deadline for this reward, you’ll likely still receive your plush. If not, you may have already missed your chance.
Do also note that the Pokémon Center is currently sold out of Legends Z-A preorders on both Switch and Switch 2. It’s unclear whether they’ll get more stock prior to release.
All Digital Preorder Bonuses For Pokémon Legends: Z-A
In-Game Items
Players who preorder any edition of Pokémon Legends: Z-A — any platform, any retailer, physical or digital — will also be eligible to receive an in-game bonus item pack. This is in addition to your physical preorder bonus if you’re eligible. The digital preorder bonus pack contains the following in-game items:
- Super Potion x20
- Revive x5
- Full Heal x3
- Rare Candy x1
There’s nothing too special or exclusive here, just a handful of high-powered consumables that’ll give you a head start on healing and leveling up your Pokémon. Either way, you’ll have to purchase your copy of Pokémon Legends: Z-A prior to its October 16 release in order to be eligible for any of these bonuses.
