ABC has released a new 9-1-1 Season 9 trailer, previewing the return of the hit medical drama procedural. 9-1-1 Season 9 is set to premiere on October 9, 2025.

The new season of 9-1-1 will feature a litany of chaotic moments for the Los Angeles-based first responders to arrive to. It’ll also be the third season of the series that airs on ABC, following the show originally premiering on FOX and running for six seasons there.

Who is in the 9-1-1 Season 9 trailer?

The 9-1-1 Season 9 trailer sees the return of Angela Bassett as Athena Grant-Nash, LAPD patrol sergeant, as well as several other characters from past 9-1-1 seasons. The ninth season of the show will once again feature a number of chaotic situations that the group will be responding to. Notably, past teasers for Season 9 teased the group heading into space on a call.

9-1-1 originally premiered in 2018 and aired on Fox until May 2023. The series then moved to ABC, starting with season seven, and has aired there ever since. Outside of Bassett, the series also stars Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Guzman, and more.

The series was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear. Lou Eyrich, Eryn Krueger Mekash, Adam Penn, Erica L. Anderson, Matthew Hodgson, Robert M. Williams Jr., and Jeff Dickerson serve as producers. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Tim Minear, Juan Carlos Coto, Kristen Reidel, Lyndsey Beaulieu, Alexis Martin Woodall, John J. Gray, Bradley Buecker, Peter Krause, and Angela Bassett are executive producers on the show.
