‘Devil Wears Prada 2’
Release Date: May 1, 2026
Twenty years after the original, director David Frankel returns with the much-awaited sequel to 2006’s The Devil Wears Prada, based on the novel Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns by Lauren Weisberger. The Devil Wears Prada 2 follows Runway magazine editor Miranda Priestly, now nearing retirement, as she fights to keep her magazine relevant amid a declining print media industry, while her former assistant-turned rival and high-profile ad executive, Emily Charlton, and former “protégée” Andrea “Andy” Sachs return to the world of high fashion, navigating old tensions and new ventures. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Tracie Thomas, Stanley Tucci, and Tibor Feldman reprise their roles from the first film, with Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, and Sydney Sweeney as new cast members.
While Weisberger’s follow-up novel to her 2003 bestseller The Devil Wears Prada is set only a decade after the events of the first book, the sequel film takes another 10-year leap, which raises a lot of questions for fans of the classic 2000s film. As a result, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is expected to explore a more current world of high fashion, addressing its changing landscape in the digital age, influencer culture, fast fashion, and the evolving power dynamics in media. On its release, the 2006 film was widely acclaimed for its narrative and terrific cast performances, becoming one of the most memorable films of the 2000s and leaving a huge social and cultural impact, setting similar expectations for the upcoming sequel.

Following the historic success of Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan returns with The Odyssey, which he wrote and directed, based on Homer’s ancient Greek epic saga of the same name. The action fantasy film follows Odysseus, the legendary king of Ithaca, as he sets out on a decade-long, perilous journey home from Troy after the 10-year Trojan War, hoping to reunite with his wife, Penelope, but stumbling into deadly encounters and mythical beings along the way.
