In anticipation of his 12th feature film, “Bonekeeper”, we here at filmfestivals.com sat down with Director Howard J. Ford, actor Louis James (Ethan), and actresses Sarah Alexandra Marks (Olivia) and Tiffany Hannam-Daniels (Anabelle) to discuss the plot, inspiration, and production of the creature feature. Marks started the conversation with an explanation of her character, Olivia: “My character is really on a journey throughout the movie to trying to love her. And she runs together, living with nice friends, you know, to take them on this journey and try to come up, which is quite treacherous.” Ford then spoke on his inspiration for the movie: “One of my favorite horror movies is The Descent…But I understand we looked into it during pre-production, realizing I wondered what caves they used, and then we found out they actually hadn’t been down [in a cave], it’s too dangerous to do so. I said, “Oh dear I’m actually, I’m actually bringing the casting crew down into the cave.” The discussion then ended with the entire group discussing the theme of the film, with Tiffany Hannam-Daniels commenting, “But it’s just like it’s a movie about friendship. Yes, I know it’s a nice script. It didn’t need all the romance stuff in advance.” Watch the full 12-minute interview on the Filmfestivals.com YouTube account or at the end of this article.
