Prime Video’s new thriller movie Holland has a number of major stars and a few newer faces comprising its cast. Holland is set in the titular town of Holland, Michigan, although the plot is entirely contrary to the movie’s idyllic setting. On the surface, Holland is the story of a woman who is becoming dissatisfied with her life as a wife and mother and begins to suspect her husband has been cheating on her. The Holland ending reveals that something much more nefarious is actually happening, however.
Critics are divided on Holland currently, with Rotten Tomatoes scores of just 29% and 21% for critics and audiences, respectively. Ultimately, even darker secrets are revealed about Fred throughout Holland.
Jude Hill As Harry Vandergroot
Date Of Birth: August 1, 2010
Actor: Jude Hill was born on August 1, 2010, in County Down, Northern Ireland, and his big break was his role as Buddy in Belfast (2021). Nicole Kidman’s new thriller movie streaming on Prime Video, Holland, is set in the real-life town of Holland, Michigan, but where was it filmed?
Holland Supporting Cast & Characters
Rachel Sennott plays Candy Deboer, a babysitter to whom Harry is very attached. However, early in Holland, Candy is let go—or, at least, temporarily put on leave—when Nancy believes she found Candy stealing from her. Sennott has played other roles, like Alice in Bodies Bodies Bodies and Rosie Shuster in Saturday Night.
Jeff Pope plays Squiggs Graumann, a local resident in Holland who has a rather negative reputation. In addition to allegedly being fired from his role as a bus driver for smelling like alcohol, Squiggs carries out a racist attack on Dave’s house when he sees Dave and Nancy with one another. Pope just recently played Olek in the thriller Carry-On, and he was interestingly also in Saturday Night.
Isaac Krasner plays Shawn, Squiggs’ son who joins him on his attack on Dave’s house. Shawn is a less prominent character, although it’s clear that he is unfortunately following in his father’s footsteps. Krasner has also played Jamie in Big Boys and Victor in Natale Frye Private Eye.
Jacob Moran plays Matt, a resident of Holland who goes to see Fred for an eye appointment, as Fred is an optometrist. Moran has had a number of roles over the years, including Gilbert in Christmas on the Square, Matt in Regarding Us, and David in The Curse of the Necklace.
Lennon Parham plays Gwen, Matt’s mom, who accompanies him on his eye appointment. Parham has played roles such as Marie in The Great North, Shelly in Minx, and Shari Yn Yem in Star Trek: Lower Decks.
River Brooks plays Scott, Harry’s friend who invites him over for a sleepover early in Holland. So far, Holland is Brooks’ only credited title, but it will be interesting to see where his career could go next.
