Firerose has accused Billy Ray Cyrus, her ex-husband, of “narcissistic abuse,” calling him out for making her feel terrified for years, and sharing an expletive and explosive audio clip, showing the alleged abuse she was subjected to.
Firerose, 38, shared the troubling audio on January 20, where a man, allegedly Cyrus, tells her that, should she want to salvage their relationship, she must sit on a couch. The expletive rant features a slew of F-bombs, with Firerose begging the man to stop.
The man then told Firerose to “shut her f***ing mouth,” adding that he would “babysit” her because “that’s what he signed up for.” After telling her that she deserved “every bit of this,” the man called her “the most selfish f***ing human being he has ever known.”
Heartbreakingly, Firerose said, “I don’t know when I’m allowed to talk and when I’m not,” to which the man said, “Right now, you’re not. Stop.”
Firerose was married to Billy Ray Cyrus for seven months, from October 2023 to May 2024. The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer filed for divorce, and both have since accused each other of abuse, accusations both have denied.
In the audio clip’s description, the woman described feeling terrified for years, accusing Cyrus of “narcissistic abuse,” describing being “trained to be afraid” should she decide to share evidence of the torment she was allegedly subjected to by the country star:
I remember so clearly, genuinely believing that it would be the end of me if I ever spoke up, even to my closest loved ones that I’d been forced to distance myself from, because I’d be raged at if I called them.
Fire explained that she shared the clip to help other abuse survivors who have reached out to her. Telling them they are “not alone,” the woman promised that they would survive, “no matter how unimaginably dark it gets.”
This is not the first time Firerose has accused Cyrus of abuse. In a reel posted on Instagram on December 4, 2025, Firerose captioned:
In your 20s you’ll meet a 49-year-old man who convinced you you’re his soulmate… It is very important you don’t believe him.
In the description, she detailed the narcissistic abuse traits, including control, isolation, rage, and manipulation. Firerose told other victims that “there is light at the end of the tunnel,” and that “God sees everything.”
Cyrus, who began dating actress and model Elizabeth Hurley in April 2025, alleged in court documents obtained by PEOPLE that Firerose had physically, verbally, and emotionally abused him. His manager, Scott Adkins, even revealed in an affidavit that he had witnessed the alleged abuse.
Firerose called Cyrus’ claims false, and that those supporting him were “on his payroll,” calling their credibility questionable.
