Earlier this week, General Hospital delivered an unexpected twist when Willow injected Drew with a lethal medicine. While he is still alive, he is in critical condition. Now, fans are debating online whether Drew will die or not in the upcoming episodes.
Here’s what the fans are saying.
General Hospital fans on what happens to Drew
In the ending moments of General Hospital’s January 19 episode, Willow and Drew celebrate their court victory. In a surprising twist, Willow walks behind Drew and thrusts a syringe in his neck. It immediately affects the congressman, who is shocked by what just happened, and collapses to the ground.
In the subsequent episode, Willow takes Drew to the hospital, where Lucas reveals to everyone that he might have suffered from a stroke, which may even lead to locked-in syndrome.
After the revelation, General Hospital fans are debating online whether Drew will really die or not. A user took the show’s Facebook page and posted, “Drew’s not dead, and he’s not dying!”
The post has garnered quite a bit of attention, and other fans have joined in on the conversation with their opinions. One user wrote, “He had a massive heart attack. They don’t know what the paralysis is gonna be yet.” Meanwhile, another replied, “No he will be layed up with Maxie”. A third fan said, “Supposedly, he suffered a stroke. Goodbye, Drew.”
Some fans have pointed out that his character might be off-screen for a while. A user commented, “I’m sure! He’s staying. He’s probably going on vacation. GH does this with all the characters to give them some time off.” Another said, “He’s in a new show on hallmark so he might be off for a bit. He won’t be going anywhere. He’s friends with the director.”
In the last few days, rumors about Cameron Mathison, who plays Drew, leaving the show have also been circulating online. However, there have been no official announcements from the actor or the show producers.
