Fans of The Night Agent rejoice — Netflix has officially released a brand-new trailer for The Night Agent Season 3, which will be released in its entirety on February 19. Netflix released the first teaser for Season 3 back in December, and also moved the show’s release date from January 26 to the aforementioned February launch date. The Night Agent has also been surging on streaming charts in the last few weeks as fans prepare for the arrival of Season 3. The show stars Gabriel Basso, who recently headlined one of Netflix’s biggest blockbusters of 2025, A House of Dynamite.
The Night Agent Season 3 will take place not long after Season 2, following Peter Sutherland (Basso) as he’s recruited to track down a young Treasury agent who left America to go to Istanbul after killing his boss. He’s in possession of dangerous information that could shift the world’s delicate power balance. This mission leads Peter down a treacherous and dark trail of dirty money while he’s also on the run from skilled assassins, but he recruits a skilled journalist as an unexpected ally. Together, they uncover old secrets and grudges that may just get them both killed if they aren’t careful.
The Night Agent has been compared to Reacher, the hit Prime Video series starring Alan Ritchson. The similarities between the shows are striking — both feature high-level military operatives and dangerous conspiracies, but Ritchson’s Reacher uses his giant stature to solve problems more often than Basso’s Peter Sutherland. Still, fans of Reacher are almost certain to enjoy The Night Agent, and vice versa. There are also two full seasons ready to binge ahead of Season 3’s premiere next month.
What Is Popular on Netflix Right Now?
The most popular show on Netflix right now is His & Hers, the new thriller show starring Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson as spurned spouses who must come together to solve a murder after the loss of their child. The show picked up 49.4 million views during its first week streaming, and it’s even displaced new hits from Harlan Coben and Agatha Christie from the top five, along with Netflix’s most popular sci-fi series ever, Stranger Things. The most popular movie on Apple TV at the time of writing is The Rip, the dark Miami Vice replacement starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
