Marvel’s Heroes and Villains Become the “Stuf of Legends” in New Oreo Collaboration Teaser [Exclusive]

Milk’s favorite cookie is officially suiting up for a new collaboration with Disney Consumer Products that can only be described as super. On February 2, iconic figures from throughout the history of Marvel Comics will be flying onto the face of black and white treats everywhere for the new Marvel OreoStuf of Legends Cookies. The Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and more will be featured among the 32 uniqueembossments that can appear on each individual snack with every pack. To see them all, however, fans will have to don their own capes and play hero for the delivery drivers sending these cookies across the country. Collider can exclusively share a new teaser for the crossover that shows even Marvel’s greatest villains are determined to get their hands on the brand-new Oreos.

The short video hypes up the cookies with an epic score and narration befitting a superhero movie. Two delivery drivers find themselves in a desperate situation, trying to deliver the Stuf of Legends Cookies while evading the many villains after them, like a looming Galactus in the background. Unfortunately, their escape doesn’t last long as Magneto pulls them off the ground, sending snacks with the faces of Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, and more begin raining out of the sky. Packed with Easter Eggs referencing Marvel’s greatest heroes, it highlights just how desired these limited-time items are, and the problem that buyers will be asked to help solve when they pick up their own packs.

In addition to the massive collection of cookie designs, Marvel and Oreo’s partnership also recruited artist Todd Nauck to design the four collectible packs in which the cookies come, each featuring a member of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men, as well as a Spider-Man-related character. Nauck is perhaps best known for his 2005 through 2007 run providing art for the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man series, though he’s worked on a wide variety of issues starring the Wall Crawler, in addition to other Marvel heroes. With his help, this collaboration marks Oreo’s biggest yet, with the most package designs and embossments ever for special edition cookies. Three of these four packs will hit store shelves right away, but the fourth will only be available once fans have guided the delivery trucks to safety. On each container will be a QR code to scan that can be used to thwart the Marvel villains and the mysterious entity targeting the rollout of these superheroic cookies.

The Marvel Stuf of Legends Cookies Are Oreo’s Latest and Greatest Collaboration

Oreo’s super-sized new batch of snacks, complete with color-changing crème that boasts the “same great taste” of the classic cookies, follows in the footsteps of some massive collaborations for the brand. The 2020s alone have seen the crossovers ramp up, including Pokémon-themed designs and special Mario cookies to accompany the arrival of The Super Mario Bros. Movie in 2023. Disney has been a regular partner of Oreo, offering Star Wars cookies, packs featuring Mickey Mouse and friends, and a special Princess Edition. The timing of the Stuf of Legends Cookies couldn’t be better with the MCU due for a big year, including Tom Holland‘s return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, and the next big superhero team-up event, Avengers: Doomsday, on December 18. With the latter uniting legacy characters like Captain America (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) with the new Fantastic Four, the 20th Century Fox X-Men, and more, it’s especially fitting to have a collaboration that will do the same starting next month.

The Marvel Oreo Stuf of Legends Cookies will be available for presale through the official Oreo website’s Unwrap the Collab page on January 26. Packages will begin rolling out for a limited time starting on February 2, also kicking off the quest for the final pack using the QR codes included with the snacks.
