Wonder Man Episode Titles Tease a New Superhero’s 1st Appearance in MCU

Wonder Man unveils episode titles, hints at a new Marvel hero

Marvel Studios unveiled the official episode titles for the upcoming Disney+ series Wonder Man, which premieres on January 27, 2026, at 6PM PT. The studio shared the titles in a post on X (@MarvelStudios). The series features eight episodes that will stream simultaneously:

  • Episode 1: Matinee
  • Episode 2: Self-Tape
  • Episode 3: Pacoima
  • Episode 4: Doorman
  • Episode 5: Found Footage
  • Episode 6: Callback
  • Episode 7: Kathy Friedman
  • Episode 8: Yucca Valley

Episode 4, titled Doorman, introduces the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the character Doorman. Byron Bowers plays DeMarr Davis, also known as Doorman, a mutant who becomes intangible and allows others to pass through solid objects.

Doorman first appeared in West Coast Avengers No. 46 in July 1989, created by John Byrne. In the comics, he joins the Great Lakes Avengers after responding to a newspaper ad seeking “costumed adventurers.” He wears a black-and-white costume and frequently interacts with characters such as Squirrel Girl, Mockingbird, and Deadpool.

Marvel reports indicate that Doorman will play a central role in the episode and that it may depict the event that led to the introduction of the “Doorman Clause,” an in-universe rule that prohibits superpowered individuals from working in film productions.

The series follows Simon Williams, portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, as he pursues a career in acting while concealing his powers. The Department of Damage Control, led by Agent P. Cleary (Arian Moayed), views him as a potential threat, especially in the context of rising concerns about superheroes’ roles in society and media.
