New Netflix Fantasy Romance Blows Up Global Streaming Charts

Netflix’s latest Korean fantasy romance, No Tail To Tell, has quickly emerged as a major streaming sensation. The series, which premiered on January 16, 2026, blends whimsical fantasy elements with classic rom-com tropes, following a mythical nine-tailed fox known as a gumiho and her chaotic entanglement with a world-class athlete.

According to Netflix’s latest Tudum data,No Tail To Tell has entered the Global Top 10 non-English shows at number 6 with 2.1 million views this week, with only two episodes released. The show has also reached number one in several individual countries.

Also on the Global Top 10 Shows chart are Taskaree: The Smugglers Web at number 1, k-drama Can This Love Be Translated? At number 2, Jujutsu Kaisen at number 3, Alpha Males season 4 at number 4, The Queen of Flow at number 5, withTo Love To Lose, Culinary Class Wars season 2, and K-dramas Silent Truth and Casheroclosing out the list.

No Tail To Tellstars Kim Hye-yoon as Eun-ho, the centuries-old gumiho who, unlike her mythological counterparts, actively avoids becoming human in order to live out her carefree immortality among humans. Lomon plays narcissistic but warm-hearted soccer star Kang Si-yeol, who accidentally transforms her into an ordinary human, beginning an unpredictable and spirited love story that upends both their lives.

The early chart success of No Tail To Tell comes amid a powerhouse year for Korean dramas on Netflix. K-dramas have routinely dominated the Top 10 charts, with multiple titles regularly appearing and holding strong positions in the latest data from Netflix. This reflects a broader global appetite for Korean stories that spans genres, from historical epics and thrillers to romantic comedies with a magical twist.

Part of what’s driving the momentum behind No Tail To Tell is the cast. Kim Hye-yoon has been steadily ascending as one of Korea’s most compelling young leading ladies following her breakout roles in shows like Extraordinary You and Lovely Runner. Her portrayal of a self-assured yet emotionally guarded gumiho offers something new for fans of supernatural romance.

Opposite her is Lomon, famous for 2022’s zombie k-drama All Of Us Are Dead, who brings both charm and depth to his character, showing his versatile range as an actor and grounding the fantastical storyline with a relatable human arc. Additionally, All Of Us Are Dead season 2 is set to arrive later this year, meaning that audiences will have another project starring Lomon to look forward to.

For No Tail To Tell, its fantasy elements rooted in Korean folklore, like the gumiho, are what set it apart from more conventional romantic k-dramas. The series combines its supernatural themes with the complexities of a love-hate relationship, using these elements as tools to explore identity, freedom, and what it means to truly connect with another person.

With ten more episodes set to air and word-of-mouth continuing to build, No Tail To Tell will likely remain a standout series throughout its run. Its ability to present a fresh story while engaging viewers on both emotional and cultural levels may not only keep it in the Top 10 but could also help it join the ranks of past Korean hits that have become global phenomena on Netflix.
