Viewers who stuck around for the Season 2 finale of Landman were rewarded with an unexpected bonus: the very first teaser trailer for The Madison, one of the most highly anticipated new entries in the ever-expanding Taylor Sheridan universe. The series, which serves as a companion piece to Yellowstone rather than a direct spin-off, had already generated buzz earlier this week after first-look images of its stacked cast were released. Now, with a brief 30-second teaser finally out in the wild, fans have their first real sense of the show’s tone — and it’s very different from cattle wars and land grabs.
The Madison is set to premiere on Saturday, March 14, with a six-episode first season. The story centers on the Clyburn family, a wealthy New York City clan who relocate to the Madison River valley in central Montana. While the series takes place in the same modern-day world as Yellowstone, it’s still unclear whether the Clyburns have any direct connection to the Dutton family.
Tonally, Sheridan appears to be shifting gears. The Madison has been described as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection,” as well as a “profound love story” rooted in deeply personal family drama. Rather than focusing on power struggles and territorial disputes, the series aims to explore resilience, loss, and transformation.
The cast includes Michelle Pfeiffer (Batman Returns), Kurt Russell (Tombstone), Will Arnett (The Lego Batman Movie), Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane), Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes), Alaina Pollack (The Surrender), Ben Schnetzer (3 Body Problem), Kevin Zegers (Power), Rebecca Spence (Lady in the Lake), Danielle Vasinova (1923), and Matthew Fox (Lost).
What Other Taylor Sheridan Shows Are Coming Out in 2026?
The Madison is set to be the first of a great number of shows from Sheridan’s pen to hit the Paramount+ screens in 2026. Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone sequel featuring Kelly Reillyand Cole Hauser, will air later this year, while Luke Grimes reprises his role as Kayce Dutton in Marshals on CBS in March. Wes Bentley‘s Jamie Dutton is otherwise preoccupied being dead. Regarding Marshals, Sheridan will be an executive producer on that series, but nothing more. His other hit shows, Tulsa King, Lioness, and Landman, will return later in the year, while Jeremy Renner‘s Mayor of Kingstown will end with its fifth season, though a release date has not been set.
The Madison arrives on Paramount+ on Saturday, March 14.
