As the clock ticks closer to midnight on December 31, you’ll be unsurprised to learn that Fallout Season 2 is still topping the U.S. streaming charts. Since the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) and Lucy’s (Ella Purnell) return on December 16, the acclaimed video game adaptation has remained at the summit, and perhaps been the only global streaming competitor for the final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. In these last few days and the first of 2026, make sure to make every second count, and do so via the very best the streaming world has to offer. With all that in mind, here’s a look at three Prime Video shows you need to binge this week.

‘Expats’ (2024)
Rotten Tomatoes: 85% | IMDb: 6.3/10
An adaptation of Janice Y. K. Lee’s 2016 novel, the drama miniseries Expats follows Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yoo‘s (Zoey of KPop Demon Hunters fame) trio of American expatriate women living in Hong Kong. When a singular event sets off an unlikely chain of events, the personal and professional lives of each of the three women reach new highs and new lows.
Also starring the likes of Brian Tee, Tiana Gowen, Bodhi del Rosario, Ruby Ruiz, Amelyn Pardenilla, and Jack Huston, this wild and immersive drama was considered one of the best shows of 2024 by critics, but cruelly flew under the radar of most audiences. Featuring a superb trio of central performances and a story you won’t want to turn off, Expats is thankfully an easy binge this week, with just six episodes in total.

Boasting a near-perfect 95% critics’ score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, as well as a hugely impressive 8.5/10 on IMDb, this personal mystery wrapped up in an eye-catching space story is a must-watch for any sci-fi fan.

‘Chewing Gum’ (2015–2017)
Rotten Tomatoes: 100% | IMDb: 7.7/10
For the many who adored the genius I May Destroy You, Michaela Coel‘s breakout hit Chewing Gum, written and starring Coel and based on her one-woman play, is your perfect next binge-watch. The series follows Coel’s Tracey, a religious, Beyoncé-obsessed woman navigating the ups, downs, and in-betweens of a difficult modern life on a council estate in Tower Hamlets, East London.
A creative, refreshing modern comedy that inspired many to come, Chewing Gum is one of the best British breakout shows of the past decade. Coel’s exuberant talent and infectious energy are clear in every beat of the script, with this impressive ability refined to perfection in the aforementioned I May Destroy You. If there is one last thing left to discover in 2025, let it be Chewing Gum.
