At a time when we begin reflecting on the year that has passed, capitalize on that nostalgia with this classic ’90s sitcom. The Nannyfollows the well-dressed life of fashionista Fran Fine (Fran Drescher), a woman dumped by her boyfriend and sacked from her job, who becomes the unlikely, unorthodox nanny to the three children of Maxwell Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy), a wealthy, widowed Broadway producer.

One of the most underrated sci-fi options currently on Prime Video, Scott B. Smith‘s The Peripheral, loosely inspired by William Gibson’s 2014 novel, follows Chloë Grace Moretz‘s young 2032 VR gamer Flynne, who, after receiving a prototype virtual reality headset, discovers a dark alternate reality with sinister consequences.
A clever, inventive series featuring a stellar lead performance by Moretz, The Peripheral might not have previously been on your watchlist, but you won’t regret checking it out. What’s more, with just eight gripping episodes available, this makes for a perfect weekend binge-watch to help you overcome those post-Christmas blues.
