There’s a priority one message from Starfleet Command incoming to all international Netflix viewers. You’ve only got two weeks to finish up your Star Trek binge-watches before some classic Trek series disappear into the Delta Quadrant. Six classic Star Trek series will leave Netflix worldwide on January 8, 2026.
This is old news for American fans, who saw the classic Trek series vanish from Netflix back in 2022: they now all reside on Paramount+ with the next generation of streaming-original Trek shows. That will be the destination for most jurisdictions that are losing Trek access on Netflix in the New Year; however, viewers in regions without Paramount+ may need to turn to physical media. Of course, in the utopian future of the Federation, money is a thing of the past; to uphold those ideals, you may want to turn to the free streamer PlutoTV, which streams several channels of Trek series; unfortunately, like those dastardly, capitalistic Ferengi, they do run advertisements.
What ‘Star Trek’ Shows Are Leaving Netflix in January?
Star Trek: The Original Series (1966-1969) is where it all began: James T. Kirk (William Shatner) captained the USS Enterprise into the final frontier and captured the imaginations of science fiction fans around the world. The Enterprise‘s adventures continued in two dimensions in Star Trek: The Animated Series (1973-1974), which reunited the crew in cartoon form. The franchise jumped a century into the future with Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994), as Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) revitalized Trek on the small-screen. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993-1999) ushered in a bold new era of serialized storytelling, as Ben Sisko (Avery Brooks) commanded the title space station amid a storm of political intrigue. Star Trek: Voyager (1995-2001) sent the titular starship into the unknown far reaches of the galaxy, as Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) shepherded her crew through even stranger new worlds. And finally, Star Trek: Enterprise (2001-2005) went back a century before Kirk’s time, chronicling the first starship Enterprise and her captain, Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula).
For Paramount+ subscribers, you can watch both classic and new Star Trek series, as well as all 13 theatrical Star Trek movies and the streaming originalStar Trek: Section 31. It’s also set to debut the newest Trek series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, in the New Year.
All six classic Star Trek TV series are leaving Netflix internationally on January 8, 2026. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.
