The Town, not to be confused with the celebrated heist movie starring Ben Affleck and Jeremy Renner, is one of the best new crime thrillers on Netflix right now. The entire 8-part series just dropped on the streaming platform on December 11, 2025.
The Town, or Kasaba, is a Turkish drama series with a gripping and tension-fueled premise. The official logline reads: “Two estranged brothers and a friend find a stolen fortune, sparking a risky game where loyalty and survival clash as they chase life-changing dreams.”
Unlike most crime dramas, The Town’s episodes are generally short, ranging from 30 to 42 minutes each. With a total runtime of roughly 5 hours, Netflix viewers can easily binge this entire new thriller series from start to finish in just a few sittings.
