Apple TV has announced the release date of Margo’s Got Money Troubles, a new family drama starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, and Elle Fanning.

The official synopsis reads: “Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a bold, heartwarming, and comedic family drama following recent college dropout and aspiring writer Margo (Fanning), the daughter of an ex-Hooter’s waitress (Pfeiffer) and ex-pro wrestler, as she’s forced to make her way with a new baby, a mounting pile of bills, and a dwindling amount of ways to pay them.”

When is the release date for Margo’s Got Money Troubles?

The first three episodes of Margo’s Got Money Troubles will premiere on Apple TV on April 15, 2026. New episodes will be released every Wednesday through May 20, 2026. Season 1 will consist of eight episodes.

The rest of the ensemble cast includes Nick Offerman, Thaddea Graham, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Rufi Thorpe. Executive producer David E. Kelley is the showrunner and writer. Additional executive producers include Fanning, Kidman, Pfeiffer, Thorpe, Dakota Fanning, Brittany Kahan Ward, Per Saari, Matthew Tinker, Eva Anderson, and Boo Killebrew. A24 produces for Apple TV.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is the latest collaboration between Kelley and Apple TV. In 2024, Kelley created Presumed Innocent, a legal thriller based on Scott Turow’s 1987 novel of the same name. Jake Gyllenhaal starred as a lawyer accused of murdering his colleague, who happens to be his mistress. Gyllenhaal and co-stars Bill Camp, Peter Sarsgaard, and Ruth Negga all garnered Emmy nominations.

Presumed Innocent was renewed for Season 2, with Rachel Brosnahan stepping into the lead role.
