This would be an interesting story development in the series because, once Carol finds a way to cure the infection and people start healing, they will have memories of their actions from the time they were infected.
Having clear memories of everything they did when they were infected by the virus and how it made them feel would help them value their individuality even more. One of the weirdest scenes from Pluribus is when Carol sedates Zosia and tries to force the truth about the reversal of the pandemic out of her. During this scene, not only does Zosia almost reveal the truth, but even other infected people surround Carol and start chiming, “Please, Carol!” At first, it is hard not to believe the combined consciousness is trying to stop Carol from reversing the pandemic through the plea.
However, if the Get Out theory holds true, the plea could actually be from the individuals who are trapped deep inside the infected people. Just like LaKeith Stanfield‘s character yells “Get Out” after being snapped out of his hypnosis, the individuals trapped in the infected in Pluribus could be crying for help by saying, “Please Carol!”
