Star Trek: Starfleet Academy reveals a new poster showing off Starfleet’s newest young heroes. Premiering with two episodes on January 15, 2026, on Paramount+, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau.
Academy Award winner Holly Hunter headlines Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, with Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti playing season 1’s recurring villain. Several Star Trek legacy characters also return in Starfleet Academy, including Robert Picardo as The Doctor from Star Trek: Voyager.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy‘s new poster features Karim Diané as Jay-Den Kraag, Zoë Steiner as Tarima Sadal, Sandro Rosta as Caleb Mir, Bella Shepard as Genesis Lythe, George Hawkins as Darem Reymi, and Kerrice Brooks as SAM (Series Acclimation Mil).
Set in the 32nd century after Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy introduces the first class of cadets to study on Earth in over a century. Starfleet Academy’s cadets matriculate aboard the USS Athena, a starship that also doubles as the Academy’s San Francisco campus.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy injects youth and vitality into the 60-year-old franchise. Starfleet Academy has been featured in several Star Trek TV shows and movies, but Paramount+’s series is targeted towards a teen and college-age audience, which will hopefully grow Star Trek’s aging demographics.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy beams into Paramount+ in January loaded for bear with Oscar-caliber movie stars and beloved faces from classic Star Trek, but the young cadets are the heart and soul of the daring new Star Trek on Paramount+ series.
