Game of Thrones veteran Kit Harington has officially found his next project. Hulu announced this afternoon that Harington has been tapped to star as the lead in the new limited series, Count My Lies, which hails from co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Harington will star opposite Shailene Woodley and Lindsay Lohan in the series, but it’s unclear at this time when it will be released. Aptaker and Berger previously worked together on the hit series This Is Us, and now they’re back with another mystery thriller that’s primed to be Hulu’s next big hit.
Count My Lies follows the compulsive liar, Sloane Caraway (Woodley), when she lies her way into a nanny job for the beautiful and charismatic couple, Violet (Lohan) and Jay Lockhart (Harington). Although it seems like she’s finally found her perfect job, things begin to head the other direction when she realizes just how many secrets lie in the wall of the house. If any, much less all, of them come to light, things could come crashing down in a dangerous and violent ending. The limited series is based on the novel of the same name by Sophie Stava. Lohan and Woodley are also executive producers.
Harington will always be famous for his star-making role as Jon Snow in all eight seasons of Game of Thrones, but he’s also landed other roles in recent years that are worthy of recognition. He made his MCU debut as Dane Whitman/Black Knight in Eternals, but due to the movie’s poor reception, it’s unclear if he’ll be seen again. Harington also recently suited up with Mark Wahlberg in The Family Plan 2, and he’ll return to his role as Henry Muck in the next season of Industry.
Shailene Woodley Is Headlining Another Big Hulu Series
Before she stars in Count My Lies, Shailene Woodley will also be seen opposite Sterling K. Brown in the second season of Paradise. The dystopian series aired its first season earlier this year, and Hulu wasted no time renewing it for a second season. While Season 1 was largely set inside the bunker containing 25,000 people, Season 2 will venture out into the cold wasteland, the home of Woodley’s character. She’s expected to have a large role in Season 2, which is likely to come in the first half of 2026.
