Alien: Earth creator Noah Hawley has revealed whether or not a Predator will ever appear in his show.
Alien: Earth is the sci-fi horror television series that premiered on FX and FX on Hulu this past August. Having now been renewed for a second season, the show serves as a prequel to Ridley Scott’s Alien movie, which was released in 1979, and stars Sydney Chandler as Wendy.
Many fans of the Alien and Predator franchises have been asking for another meeting of these two worlds, as there hasn’t been a formal on-screen crossover between them since Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, which was released in 2007. Some of director Dan Trachtenberg’s recent Predator movies have included various Easter eggs and elements related to the Alien; however, there’s been no official announcement regarding a project that features both Xenomorphs and Yautja as of yet.
What did Noah Hawley say about Alien: Earth and Predator?
In a recent episode of the SmartLess podcast, Hawley was asked if he was planning a Predator crossover in Alien: Earth.
“No, not onto the show, I don’t think,” Hawley answered. “I think Dan Trachtenberg, who made Prey and has made the Badlands movie — you know, I loved Prey. I think he’s doing a great job with that franchise. He clearly has a plan there. I’ve met Dan once, we’re not kind of coordinating any of that stuff. So, it’s not really my plan to do it.”
A premiere date for Alien: Earth Season 2 has not yet been announced.
