While fans have been demanding that Daniel Craig‘s Southern-fried sleuth, Benoit Blanc, cross over with The Muppets since the 2019 release of Knives Out, Netflix may have just given them the next best thing. Beignet Blanc, Benoit’s puppet counterpart, has a mystery to solve on Sesame Street in a new clip just released by the streamer, which hosts both the long-running educational children’s show, and the next Benoit Blanc mystery, Wake Up Dead Man.
In “Forks Out,” Cookie Monster is preparing to dig into a triple berry pie, only to discover an empty plate. (Oscar the Grouch’s sardine pie, tragically, remains untouched.) This calls for the world’s greatest detective…who, much to his dismay, is not Sesame Street‘s Grover, but the eerily human-like Beignet Blanc, who may be Daniel Craig or a remarkable simulation.
