A drunk Dalton walks into a bar

At The Brown Dog, Joss meets Dalton, who’s heavily intoxicated and ranting about his troubles. Joss plays along and flirts with him to keep him talking. Dalton admits to moving his test to a secret lab at a different location. Meanwhile, Vaughn quietly watches from the side, visibly bothered when Dalton gets a little physical with Joss.

Emma and Gio call out Dalton

After learning that Ned is fine at the hospital, Emma and Gio head to The Brown Dog. As Joss and Dalton are about to walk out, Gio steps in to talk to Joss and catches her up on Dalton’s antics against Rocco. When Dalton tries to interrupt, Emma explodes, confessing that she’s the one who broke in at his old university. After a few back-and-forth, Emma throws a drink in his face.

Vaugh quickly steps in, revealing that he is WSB, and escorts Dalton out of the bar. Emma realizes that if WSB knew about Dalton’s testing, she didn’t have to do anything in the first place. Outside, Vaughn commends Joss’ efforts and kisses her.

Britt’s deal with Sidwell

At Wyndemere, Britt and Sidwell are still discussing Dalton’s false accusations about Rocco. He reminds her that she’s there only because he saved her life with experimental medication, and expects her to complete her father’s work in exchange.

Charlotte and Danny’s lie

At the PCPD, Charlotte suggests to Danny that they lie to the adults, saying Dalton got violent with Rocco at the lab. Meanwhile, Lulu, Sonny, Dante, and Ric discuss whether they should allow the kids to testify. With no other way to save Rocco, they all agree. Before leaving, Danny reveals that they got the key fob by nicking it from Britt’s purse, sparking concern among others.

Laura is a Mayor once more

Laura spends election night bracing for defeat, even apologizing to Jordan for the risk she took to investigate Sidwell. Soon, Drew arrives, wanting to talk to Laura alone, and sends Jordan away. He urges Laura to endorse Ezra in her speech after she loses the election. However, Jordan later comes in and reveals that Laura has won the election. Drew is left in shock.

Dalton is now a liability for Sidwell

Back at Wyndemere, Britt confronts Dalton about his recent actions, with Sidwell adding that he’s become a liability. When Dalton defends himself, saying that they need him and his research, Britt claps back, saying that he’s a useless tool and sloppy. And suddenly, Sidwell turns around and shoots Dalton.
