Netflix’s Vibrant Animated Adventure ‘In Your Dreams’ Soars in New Sneak Peek [Exclusive]

Everything we’ve learned, read, and seen so far surrounding Netflix’s upcoming animated film, In Your Dreams, has hinted at a massively fun, vibrant, and heartfelt production. And, today, we’re happy to say that the feeling has been fully solidified thanks to a new sneak peek of the Alex Woo and Erik Benson co-helmed film that we’re thrilled to unveil as part of Collider’s Exclusive Preview event. Once you meet the movie’s primary characters, siblings Stevie (Jolie Hoang-Rappaport) and Elliot (Elias Janssen), in this fresh take, you’ll be signed up and pulled into the adventure and, like us, eagerly awaiting the title’s arrival. The terrific news is that its release date is just around the corner, with In Your Dreams set to wake up Netflix on November 14.

Our latest look at In Your Dreams wastes no time on character introductions or filling in plot details and instead takes viewers on the ride of their lives alongside the sister and brother duo at the heart of the film. From the comfort of his bed, Elliot (Janssen) steers his mattress, blankets, pillows, and bed frame through the sky, while his older sister, Stevie (Hoang-Rappaport), hangs on for dear life. The pair cruises from the clouds, down to the streets, where onlookers can’t quite believe what their eyes are seeing, before Elliot prepares to push the bed into rocket mode and really gain some speed.

On top of the stunning visuals from Netflix Animation and Kuku Studios, the other piece of the puzzle that really stands out in our first look is the music, which was composed by John Debney. Just as playful as the scene itself, the music carries the characters’ story while driving the action forward and tags viewers in for the wild ride. And, although they aren’t featured in this particular sequence, the rest of the voice cast behind In Your Dreams is absolutely stacked and overflowing with talent. Included in the lineup are Craig Robinson (The Office), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Cristin Milioti (The Penguin), Omid Djalili (Love Again), Gia Carides (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), SungWon Cho (KPop Demon Hunters), and Zachary Noah Piser (Stars in the House).

What Is ‘In Your Dreams’ About?

Penned by Benson and Woo, from a story by Woo and Stanley Moore, In Your Dreamsfollows Stevie and Elliot as they deal with the early days of their parents’ separation. In hopes of saving their parents’ marriage, the siblings travel into the world of dreams in hopes of finding the mysterious and magical entity known as The Sandman, who is said to have the power to grant wishes.
