TNT’s Animal Kingdom is leaving Netflix on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

This step is a part of Netflix’s monthly in-house clean-up up where the streaming giant removes and adds shows based on their respective licensing agreements. Given that the show is leaving, TNT evidently has not renewed its contract. However, this is subject to change based on the production company’s interest.

The story follows Joshua “J” Cody (Finn Cole), who moves to California after his mother dies. There, he lives with his estranged relatives, the Codys. The Codys make a living from their criminal activities, led by matriarch Janine “Smurf” Cody (Ellen Barkin). They take part in illegal activities, such as high-stakes armed heists and drug dealing. Because of their ways, they are is a constant war with the government officials and other criminal gangs.

Based in Melbourne, Smurf leads her family with her sons—Darren, Pope, and Craig. And as a result of living with them, J is exposed to their criminal ways. The story intensifies as J tries to navigate his life through the underworld and everything that comes with it.

The show successfully ran for six seasons between 2016 and 2022. Its finale aired on August 28, 2022. Despite the show finding success, the showrunner ended the series with Season 6, with a satisfactory ending.
