The season finale, titled “Scars,” arrived on October 29, 2025, and marked the conclusion of another high-stakes investigation by the titular MI5 team. The Slow Horses succeeded in intercepting the Libyan terrorists but faced another hurdle when Whelan threatened to close down the unit.
However, Lamb intervened and blackmailed Whelan, which forced him to accept the blame and drop his resignation. The season ended with the Slow Horses staying afloat once again, promising more action ahead.
Although Season 5 will not add any more episodes, fans can rest assured that the series will return with more seasons. Apple TV+ has officially renewed Slow Horses for a sixth and seventh season. Season 6 will be based on Mick Herron’s novels Joe Country and Slough House, while Season 7 will adapt the book Bad Actors. All three novels are part of Herron’s Slough House novel series.
